Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter - Trends for 2007
Before you let the Fall/Winter 2007 trends hit you in the face, perhaps we should backtrack a little and concentrate on key trends we should be wearing now.
Minis

There’s something about minis - denim minis were all the rage on campus, and there should be no reason why it shouldn’t be part of your wardrobe this year too. Only - upgrade your minis to different textures. Great options include satin, cotton, and pleather if you can stomach it.
Metallics

A trend well featured since Fall 2006, metallics shine strongly two seasons since it first appeared on runways. A point to note is that the shine factor doesn’t just end at gold and silver colours, it also feature on satin materials and shiny tights (black, shimmery tones, neon shades - you name it).
I’m just glad my Zara dress gets more mileage than I would have expected.
Greys

I’ve mentioned before: Grey seems to be here to stay. It was well featured from Fall 2006, slightly side-stepped by pastels in S/S07 and came back in full force in F/W 2007.
I’ve discovered a good way to escape being boring with grey: choose soft greys or pair them with block, bright colors. Alternatively you can stick with silver, and combine metallics with this grey trend.
Choose what you spend on wisely and you will be able to flaunt what you own all year round.

I have just received the Chanel Spring Summer 2007 Paris collection in my email and am wondering if Chanel is now designing for high priced hookers and street walkers, or if we all are supposed to dress in this sexy yet disturbing style. I adore Chanel but what is this?
