Dear Marc, I Love How You Smell!
With my 23rd birthday almost pouncing on me, I’d decided that I want to be one of those women (note: not girls) who have a distinctive, signature scent
I know it is a weird thing to want for one’s 23rd birthday, but I figure it is somewhat of a rite of passage - to get a frangrance and more or less stick with it.
So I trooped down to the Tangs Beauty Hall last night, to check out what is on the market. In particular, I was looking for the Marc Jacobs Splash range.

And I really like it!
The range is light and fresh - something you can wear every day without making too much of a statement.
Other than Cotton, Grass and Rain pictured above, the range also includes Amber, Cucumber, Winter Ivy, Winter Violet and Orange. I love the very simple names which tell you almost exactly what the scents are like.
It comes in an extra-large size (300 ml) because you’re supposed to be splash it on liberally. How very indulgent!
So now, I just need a kind soul to get it for me. Hint: I’m like Rain the most!

I heart Rain! I totally regretted not buying the bottle last year when as soon as I heard they were re-releasing it this spring, I bought it.

oh my god i think we have telepathy! I was just looking through the TFS thread on signature perfumes and was about to make a list of stuff to check out on when you jumped on it first and blogged about it!

I bought both Rain and Grass! They are lovely scents. Unfortunately, they are splashes, not parfums. You have to spritz it on throughout the day–explains the 300ml quantity.
The Autumn trio is disappointing though. Even though ‘Ivy’ sure as hell sits well with me, I am not parting with my cash for it.

A signature scent sounds like a lovely idea. I’ve been spritzing Kenzo’s L’eau for two years now so I guess that would be my signature scent.
I’ll be sure to check out the Splash range when I can actually manage to extricate myself from my desk to go shopping.
