Fudge Gets In Your Hair

Not quite fashion, but I’ve recently found out about Fudge, an Australian brand of hair care and styling products. Most styling products advertise based on the “hold” or “shine” of their wax - Gatsby ads come immediately to mind. But the best part about Fudge’s Hair Shaper (which I bought) is the vanilla-scent. Unscrewing the cover for a whiff is possibly the best cure for depression. What could be a happier feeling than smelling like vanilla ice-cream?

I only realised how strong the scent was when my friend walking beside me asked if I was eating ice-cream or white chocolate or something.
And for those who’re asking, yes, the wax holds fairly well. But that, of course, is hardly the point of the thing. ;)

  • Where can I get my hands on a tub pf Fudge’s “Hair Shaper”, Tweeds?

  • urbanhair (heeren) has them.

  • I got mine at a hairdresser on the 3rd floor of Far East, near the toilets.

Defiance: How much is a tub at Urbanhair?

  • ah yes, the one with a ton of Fudge stuff by the glass. it’s like the only one in far east which sells their products i think.

i can’t really remember how much Urbanhair is selling them now, last time i bought a tub was like >1 year ago. probably like around $25?

  • Thanks Tweeds and defiance!

  • Hi, I’m Brenda from the Straits Times’ Life! I am writing an article on Singaporean fashion blogs and hope to feature Fashion Nation as one such blog. I hope you could drop me an email asap, thanks!

  • Tweeds, how does this Fudge compare to L’Oreal products? I’ve always used their mousse and wax products but I’m getting a bit sian of them now.

  • Jules: I’m not sure about comparisons to L’Oreal, I have very limited experience in the styling department. But give it a shot (or at least open it to smell, heh)!

  • Haha…I mentioned Fudge to my mum, and the next thing she got me a tube of Fudge’s Unleaded Elastik Medium-Hold blow dry fuel. I love the smell!

    It’s $28 btw.

I’ll try it out this week. ;)

  • Where’d she get it from? More hair products to try, heh.
