Truth be told, since we came back from Europe, the Fashion Nation girls have taken a fancy to leather clothing. First expressed in our leather jacket post, it seems that the interest is not just in the Fashion Nation sphere and has expanded globally. Specifically, for fall, it has to be the hunt for the perfect leather dress!
Let’s take a quick look at the designer who brought the leather dress back on the fashion radar:

Jil Sanders’ version is form-fitting and versatile and superbly classic.

Acne’s leather dress, however, is cocoon-ish and perfectly wearable in Singapore! Next, the examination of high street stores with their own interpretation:

H&M’s version – functional and perfect for layering! Zara has two versions, but unfortunately I can’t find pictures for them. Will however venture into the Zara stores to hunt them down!

The Sartorialist captured this lady in the Acne dress in Stockholm (Aug 2007).

Agathe of Style Bytes has blogged about her own steal from e-Bay, the $10 leather dress. I think it looks absolutely lovely on her! I will be hunting for my own version of a leather dress and will duly report if I am successful!

Marks and Spencer are doing a rather nice leather dress, unfortunately it’s not in stock at the moment but hopefully they’ll get more in:
