Nylon Magazine: Good Things are Meant to be Shared
I don’t know why I haven’t blogged about this earlier, but I think e-magazines are the way to go.
Or rather, conventional paper-magazines with online, digital versions are the way to go
Why do I say that?
1) You save paper, and being eco-friendly is currently the coolest thing since sliced bread.
2) You save space without the piles of magazines accumulated over the months, and you are spared your mother’s incessant nagging regarding your mess (at least that is how it is with me :P).
3) You do no need to pay ridiculous prices for foreign magazines - and if you’re lucky, you even get to subscribe to them at next to nothing.
This is exactly what happend with us and Nylon magazine.

Several months ago, I signed up for three free digital issues of Nylon. Made a hell lot of sense to me to get one of my favourite reads for naught. And since I spend half my time on the Internet anyway, a digital subscription suits me well.
Three issues came and went. I received an email from the good people of Nylon, reminding me that my free trial is coming to an end. In addition, they also offered me a subscription for 10 issues of Nylon for the price of USD$1.99.
Initially I was a little skeptical. It sounds way too cheap to be true! There has to be a catch somewhere. But even after a perusal of the fine print yielded me nothing - I was just being an typically over-careful Singaporean
Besides, it really is just around 3 or 4 SingDollars.
So I paid for the subscription. And I promptly got an email the following month to download my October issue of Nylon
I’d since received my bill - everything came up to a grant total of SDG$3.99
Am mightily pleased. So if you’re a magazine junkie like myself, signing up for a digital subscription may very well save your wallet and the Earth all in the same breath.
