Origins Organic Tote Bag
Here at Fashion Nation, we hardly write about beauty products. In real life however, you’ll be shortchanged for products which Dottie and I do not know about. We’re quite a pair of skincare and cosmetics junkies, we are!
In terms of beauty products, I’ve been using several items off the Origins “Hall of Fame” as part of my daily skincare regime. FYI, I have decent skin, but I am super fair and belong to the combination category.

My favourite Origins product has to be Modern Friction. I had been shopping for a good scrub since my face was slowly clogging up with the Raffles Place grubbily polluted air each day, and this was my first choice as friends raved about its effects and I’ve read enough good stuff about Modern Friction in magazines to know it is fab.
Using this religiously (two times a week) leaves your skin fresh and supple. Most importantly it keeps those horrid tiny bumps far far away from my face - I tend to get blemishes on my forehead and chin area.
Having friends whose skin regime borderlines on obsessive (nine different products just before bed!), my skincare routine can be considered quite mild and harmless.
Following the scrub, the other product I use from Origins is Make a Difference:

True to the name, there is a difference after the first week I applied it on. I like how it isn’t sticky after application, and it doesn’t make my face feel rich and heavy in the morning. It is light enough to be applied in the morning, but if you put it on at night you’ll feel that it does its job well too, as you’ll wake up to nicely hydrated and smooth skin in the morning.
Being a satisfied Origins customer, I was in for a lovely surprise by the skincare brand.
A couple of weeks ago, we received an e-mail from an Origins spokesperson located in NYC asking the Fashion Nation writers if we’d like to receive a sample of a tote bag Origins was introducing in conjunction with its new Organic line:

Needless to say, we were thrilled. Dottie and I received the tote bag a couple of days ago in the mail:

I think the “I don’t get wasted” tag-line tickles my fancy to no end - perhaps the bag doesn’t get wasted, but I certainly can’t say the same for myself on weekends! (:
Its really a great bag to lug purchases in, especially when you go heavy duty shopping like I do on weekends.
A cute way to save the earth, it doesn’t entail a high budget on your end, you get yourself another useful bag to add to the collection, plus you get a chance to snoop round the Origins counter to check out the latest Organic line! What’s not to like?
If you’re living in the States, the bag is selling for USD10. A lot less pricey than the Anya Hindmarch one, but with the same purpose! If you’re living nowhere near the States (the Fashion Nation writers belong in the same category!), you can purchase one here. Oh no, it doesn’t ship out of the U.S.!

That’s a gorgeous bag but just to note, orders made on the website do not ship outside of the United States, which is such a shame.

Oh, I love Origins. I actually go to the mall to go “Origins” shopping. Just the same as I go “shoe” shopping, “lip gloss” shopping and so forth…
