Wearable Pieces
Stephanie Simek of gave our mail some love and pointed us to her amazing collection aptly named Wearables:
A project involving precious and experimental materials, Wearables evolved from being a part of a series of objects, photographs, and installations Stephanie was working on called Systems, Functions, Circuits, Dreams to a collection on its own. Working with material such as egg shells and sterilized eyelashes, the pieces are edgy, funky, and definitely original.
Other than being a jewelry designer, Stephanie runs Rererato, an events venue in Portland which used to be a Hare Krishna temple, holding anything from live-in music, art exhibitions, film, and other events. How inspiring for pen-pushers who dream of living their dreams someday!
