Sadaharu Hoshino is the new kid on the block. Graduating from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, the Japanese designer studied under Alexander McQueen and worked the industry before setting up his own label ‘ES’.
Changing the brand name to ‘ES Orchestres’ from Spring/Summer 08, he definitely caught my eye with these androgynous outfits:




There seems to be very little online coverage on him, so I’m glad that Fashion Nation knows about this lovely collection. The whites and blacks with simple lines really do it for me – very fuss-free and neat.
The look of the collection reminded me very slightly of the fuss free outfit one Olsen has turned up with at an event recently – very uncharacteristic of them, I may add:

Yes, it is sort of severe and there is a sense of minimized feminine details to his design, so it does sort of reminds me of Ann Demeulemeester.
