I get a great sense of satisfaction staring at vintage photos - which explains my love for the vintage_photo community on Livejournal. Staring at these pictures make me feel really woozy inside, because it just seems that the good old days were indeed more classic!

Today’s vintage loving stems from the Chanel thread on The Fashion Spot, though - where members have shared the pictures of Coco herself. I just want to highlight how the items Chanel is wearing will work in our wardrobes now.

Alert, alert: Two-toned shoes are all the rage right now, seen in the picture above. I’ve been hunting for a cute pair, but they elude me currently. Of course the joy is always in the hunt, so perseverance is key!

Taken in the 1920s, Chanel is wearing adorable two-toned shoes akin to these from Bianca:

Coco in a lovely Chanel suit, probably criticizing the photographer for something or another. Note the omnipresent pearls, which really should be what every lady should have in her jewelry box.

Very much loving the decor of the Rue Cambon apartment in all its luxury! Realise that the hats donned by her are very in vogue as well?

It could be just a coincidence that we’re going through a very classic phase in fashion right now, but sharing these pictures with you makes me very happy indeed.
