Chanel ‘Slimming’ Stockings - Yes or No?

Is this a ‘wow’ spin-off from the leggings trend or rather an obvious antidote for chunky legs?
Either way we cannot argue the way these stockings has snaked their way into our brains! I cannot stop wondering if we can actually Magic Marker it ourselves without dying of toxic absorption. There is no doubt that a brave blogger will try her hands on the possibility of DIY-ing this and I plan to follow the triumphant one when a plan is hatched.
In the meantime, what do you think of this?

ever since i saw those tights in the Paris fashion week show i lusted after those tights. but unfortunately, they’ll only come out in September…..boo…sucks that the American/European winter does not coincide with the Australian winter. sigh!

Hi Aurelia - yes that must suck big time! I know how you feel because in Singapore it’s always hot or raining, so we never ever have a ‘Fall’ style.

i love them! i’m too trying to imagine a diy but have no idea! i guess you could dunk half, but then the line wouldn’t be so clear

i think they’re brilliant! but i think the magic markers will bleed along the stockings or leggings because the fabric weave is pretty spacey. is it possible to sew? o.0

i think e stockings are v cool! i wouldn’t mind buying, especially when the weather these days looked as though we’re stuck in December

Hi Selina - I think the line would somehow ‘bleed’ if I tried to dunk half… but it is worth a try!
Hi jo - sewing’s probably not such a good idea because the stitching will be rather obvious… and you’re right about the ink bleeding as well.
