I’ll be covering Japan Fashion Week in a belated manner. Let’s take a look at Motonari Ono’s mindblowing structural skirts:

This oversized tux jacket isn’t half bad either:

At only 27, he’s fast becoming on one of my gawk-at list of designers. I’ve quite a penchant for structural skirts, and Motonari Ono seems to have just the knack to churn out skirt after impressive skirt.
Not that he is anywhere lacking in the fashion credentials area – having studied in both the London College of Fashion Foundation Course and the Antwerp Royal Academy of the Arts, one wouldn’t expect anything less from him.
The fact that several bloggers, including Nonsense on Stilettos and Fops and Dandies, are covering JFW says a lot about globalization of fashion – I think we’re in the midst of a very exciting tech era for fashion, if you may, what with all the blogging creativity and ideas criss-crossing through borders and across continents.
Have a great weekend!
Contemplative Stephie
