Some time ago, I’d explained to a male colleague from work that I write for a fashion blog. He went ‘whaaat? But you wear polka dots to work!’, referring to a particular polka-dotted dress I have some kind of sartorial affinity for, because I’d pull it out after a month or two and put it on when I’m in a good mood.
To which I had no response for, except laugh and wonder what was so wrong with polka dots. If I want to wear my polka dotted dress, I damn well will! (:
So, Mr. Cinderella, this is a public announcement service to state that polka dots may just officially be back, the way these amazing outfits from Theatre Products so boldy proclaim:

Of course, Mr. Cinderella doesn’t read enough Fashion Nation to know whether I’m Dottie or Stephie, so maybe this may just secure another regular reader for FN.

Wow – I love these outfits! I especially like the first one, and also the second grey jacket, cape puffa thing – not sure how to describe it but it is so cute!

I love the drama of these looks. Why do polka dots have such a bad rep?

Hi Natty – it seems that puffa cape sounds quite right! I have no idea what that’s called either…
Hello The Clothes Horse! I suspect it could be linked to childish dressing, but I’m not too sure.

Hey I LOVE polka dots! Can’t see why they get such a bad rap, and they suit me to a T since one of my nicknames is Spotty..
