Dear fellow shoe-lover,
I need to rant!
Remember my craze for gladiator sandals? I’d hunted down a pair of black patent strappy heels from Charles & Keith, the national shoe-supplier for Singapore with their affordable and high fashion designs, but that isn’t enough to satiate my ever-lusty shoe quest!
It started with seeing dreamecho’s great gladiator flats, and then popping by the Nine West boutiques littered around town in February. Having spotted last season’s shoes at half price (go to Wisma to grab some if you’re hankering for new shoes, at around SGD90 a pair), and no gladiators in sight, I was resigned to moping around in late February and early March.

Since I’d already gotten black patent strappies, I’m inclined to go for a brown leather pair… Is it so hard to find a pair of decent gladiator shoes like the above?

Same pair of gladiator sandals pictured above, from Childhood Flames which I’ve recently discovered via tFS. She is seriously rocking the shoes with great cost-per-wear ratio, and I’m looking forward to more great looks with these shoes.
It’s mid/late March now, and still no gladiators around town (except some Zara brown flats in Taka going for SGD90, and heeled black ones for SGD180). I know Singapore’s really late on shoe trends, since lace-ups are only starting to pop up in a major way last month.
Still obsessed with gladiators
Stephie

Hello sara – where IS schu? I need to rush there now! Is that the shop next to Watson’s in Wisma?
Hi Fruchtzwerg, nyshoespy – Oh no, I’m afraid you are badly mistaken. The photos are from Childhood Flames, I am definitely not in possession of long lean legs! Do head there for more outfit pictures, she’s a sharp dresser!

How very strange that SG hasn’t got their gladiator fix yet.. the UK is chock full of them… I’ll be sick of them before I even get the chance to wear them since it’s pouring down with rain here…

No worries, Fruchtzwerg!

hi fashionation reader – thanks for the heads up.
hello sara – we’ve been hunting for lace-ups for some time, but I know there are some great peep-toe laceups in Topshop right now.
For something more affordable, I suggest you scour the sprees in Livejournal, because I’ve seen several sprees with lace-ups there.
