Gossip Girl + NYLON = Love

With the first episode of the second season out and causing quite a stir both in and out of the fashion blogosphere, it seems especially apt that NYLON magazine is having Blake Lively and Leighton Meester grace their May cover!

In fact, its a duo-covers issue, so if you’re a fan (of either the magazine or show), you may want to snap these up. I will be doing the same thing, only that we have a complimentary digital subscription, which makes me feel rather silly getting them in hard copies as well. Perhaps I can print out the covers in true fangirl style and use them as wallpaper… I think the 16 year old in me is taking over after so many episodes of Gossip Girl :P

Ah, there’s nothing quite like preppy chic (Blake) and doll-like girlie (Leighton). I almost squealed out loud over the last picture of Meester - the floral top, the polka-dotted, ultra full and puffy tulle skirt and the cropped leather jacket - its perfect! :D

    i love the huge poofy skirt and the florals! makes me wish i had a leather jacket

    A year ago, Stephie and I were hunting for the perfect leather jacket all over Europe after we saw how the girls there were rocking it. But we’d decided that it is just not practical to wear leather jacket in tropical Singapore! You should be glad that at the very least, you will be able to wear one without melting! :D

    Must say, Blake looks better here than she does on the show- more GGBookSerena (who’s quite cool) than annoying, whiny TVSerena (who dresses pretty badly, IMHO).
