Let’s Rock ‘em Chucks
I’ve always wanted a pair of Chuck Taylors in my wardrobe to play with - the last I had a pair was ten years ago, a black basic pair which my fastidious Mother put in the wash. It ended up very washed out and looking tie dyed brown-on-black, so I threw that pair out.
In a sale at the mall a couple of months back, I bought a pair of red high-tops just for the kick of it. We’ve previously written about them before, and even covered some celebrities in them.
This time, though, I’m very much inspired by the Olsens and the scruffy way they’ve paired their Chucks:

I’ll see how it goes from here, but I’m quite sure I’ll be having a lot of fun with my pair!

Chucks have never been one of my favorites but I gotta say, they’re one of those shoes that never seems to go out of style.
They just keep on tickin’.

Those Olsens manage to make even ordinary shoes look hip and fun again. I, too, bought a pair recently, though am trying to ‘roughen’ them up a bit before I debut them with a floral dress.

I love my Chucks but they are so old now that the sole is almost gone. I really need to invest in a new pair.

i hate the white rubbery bit in front of all the converse chucks, find it pretty ugly. I much prefer Vans. They have thicker soles and they last much longer than chucks. The girl in the 2nd picture is wearing a pair of Vans slip-ons, who is it? She looks grooooovay! x

Despite Vogue’s many attempts to declare them out of style, I really think Converse are classics. And I love my red low-tops worn with sheer stockings, they go with literally anything.
