Bow-spiration

Inspired by Stephie’s humongous bow, and in line with my current obsession with renewing the old, I unearthed two boxes of hair bows from my childhood! They’d been languishing in a drawer for the past 15 years or so.

My mum was determined that I shall have long hair because her own was unsuitable to be kept long. That was why I had pretty long hair by the time I was 3 and it was kept that way until I took things into my own hands, and started cropping them progressively shorter from age 15.

Long hair requires maintenance and accessories, and for the latter I had plenty. Appropriately, I have a lot of hair bows.

I have a disproportionate number of red bows. I guess my mums likes the colour :)

This polka-dotted leather pin bow used to my favourite. It has a Flintstones vibe that is really cute! For a child at least.

Some of my bows are literally old-new – they’re still in their plastic as I’d never used them before!

This metallic gold skinny bow is among those most wearable for adults. I think I have a similar one in silver lurking somewhere.

Right now, I’m trying to think of ways to reuse these bows. Hopefully, I can come up with something more creative than just wearing them conventionally in my hair. Any suggestions?

Taken over by bow mania,
Dottie
