Vaguely I remember hearing about J.Crew – I know it is an American label and that’s about all. A few days ago, while clicking around, I found myself on their website. Suddenly, I’m watching this lovely promotional video shot in beautiful Praha (Prague).
The video featured flawless, wholesome-looking models walking down Charles Bridge, prancing around the Old Town Square, driving out to the countryside and looking charming on a train at the main train station. The song that accompanied the video is light and happy.
I remember a red coat with a fold-over collar, a yellow trench coat and a pretty dress with a tiered skirt.
I hope more labels will choose to present their collections with a short film. I think it is much more effective in expressing the vibe of the collection than traditional look books.

Its a really beautiful place so you really should go before tourism spoils it all, although I really hope that never happens.
Coincidentally, I’ll be there later this year
