Ripped this off JAK & JIL’s street style blog, which I have to commend for its non-stop hits of the stylish. This particular shot is of the Vogue Nippon team, but I spy with my eye a laidback Yvan on the right! I am of the opinion that his random choices of color in his outfit gives off a ‘cool’ vibe better than a team in black.
While black is the choice color of the fashionable, these days I appreciate splashes of color in an outfit more than an all-black ensemble which is stylishly put together. Could be that the sombre of the recession-proof fashion directions these days, but I want to chase it all away with splashes of color like a source of rainbow power!

I have to say that I’ve always been that way! Choosing colours over all-black, that is. I admire stylish people who can put together clashing colour combinations (and make it work) more than those who wear black head to toe. (:

I have to agree- adding hints of colour in an outfit is very stylish, and it will definitely stand out in a sea of black nowadays.

I feel like wearing all black is a sort of “get out of jail free card” because they know it’s a classic. Yet aren’t they supposed to be innovative in fashion? Let’s see something knew people!
