Back in Fall 08, Stephie and I received a lovely package in our mail-box. It was the first issue of Look magazine, published by the New York Magazine bi-annually during Fashion Week.

The magazines not only documents the key trends of the season, but also covers behind-the-scene action, interviews and predicts the hots and nots. All in record time
I remembered being so thrilled with the magazine, poring over the beautiful images and superbly written articles, which often probes beneath the surface and superficiality of the runway.
And now, you can either buy it (I will say its pretty worth it) or read it online!
Here are some of my favourite articles in this issue:

Interview with Alber Elbaz. I love interviews with him. He’s incredibly cute and humble. And he’s always talking about becoming a doctor – which is funny
(Gareth Pugh)
Five Young Designers To Watch. The list isn’t revolutionary or even unexpected, but who can resist a list?! I know I can’t

Sasha Cohen’s Brüno’s appearance at the Milan Fashion Week is old news by now. I can’t wait to see his rendition of an Austrian fashion guru though. I love social mockery – especially if it has an European accent!

And who can forget the stumbling models? This shoes are insane and literally unwearable. But perhaps, that’s much of its appeal. To conquer the impossible shoes!
As winter (in parts where it exists) winds down slowly but gradually, it seems the perfect time to be thinking of Spring
For your reading pleasure,
Dottie

As soon as I read your post I went to the website to buy the magazine. I live in Canada and was told that they do not ship to my country
Better luck next time I suppose

Hey! It’s actually published by New York Magazine, not the New York Times. And sadly, they just announced that the new Spring 2009 issue that’s just come out will be the last… I’m very sad about this.
