Dottie and I will be having our own separate versions of romance on the Little Red Dot, but you are on my mind this Friday night!
Here are some ideas to spend your V-day weekend, if you’ve not planned it yet. I had such a great time writing this because it’s Valentine’s Day and I am allowed to be cheesy! Woot!

ONE: Take a look at these lovely Valentine’s Day e-cards from Kate Spade! They are so friggin’ adorable, I spammed Mr. Stephie’s mail with about a billion of them. Gmail is now down because of me.

TWO: How old are you?! If you’re as young as I am, then you’d remember the Teenage Textbook movies. Whether you remember this movie or not, you’ve got to click on the Youtube video above and watch the trailer, because it is so damn Singaporean!
It’s basically about Singapore secondary school / JC kids in love, and it would have been absolutely nostalgic and cringe-worthy to watch now, except the on-screen couple (see photo above), Melody Chen and Randall Tan… is married!
Hmm – fluff content which Valentine’s Day ‘Things to do this weekend’ posts should be filled with!
The Teenage Textbook will be showing at this theatre tomorrow, so do get tickets if you’re feeling you need a blast from the past! Grab a friend who’s single to come along and love will fill our little red dot!

THREE: Are you heartbroken this weekend? That’s not a great place to be. I’d be sitting at home listening to super old-school Mando-pop songs on repeat – I find old Mandarin songs more beautiful, and more therapeutic. But that’s just me!
Here are some, but I’ve to warn you they are absolutely old, even your Dad knows how to sing them:
four!
If you love old songs (like me!) then you should give these links a click too. They make for great karaoke selections, at least (:
FOUR: SAY NO TO FLOWERS ON VALENTINE’S DAY!
It’s silly and for the same amount you can get 100 stalks for the price of a Valentine’s bouquet – tell your Significant Other to get you a bag instead. At least you’ll get to see his love for you every day for at least a year, as opposed to just three days? And a bag won’t wither, just like how love doesn’t.
I hope you have lots of fun, whether single or attached!
Stephie

I didn’t watch the movie but I love the book and its sequel, The Teenage Workbook. They bring back fond memories and are quite funny! I remember chuckling out loud while reading TTTB and TTWB.
Going to dig the books out from the study later for a dose of nostalgia.

Wow, Teenage Textbook!
I love the soundtrack btw. Haha!
I am not a big fan of flowers, so paying a small fortune for them just because its V Day is a ridiculous notion for me.
