Hi Guys, thanks for the great response to my idea of having a Fashion Nation dress-making elementary class! Its pretty exciting to find so many people who want to try their hands at making their own clothes as well
On my end, I’d been checking this out with the dress-making instructor at the CC. Nothing has been firmed up yet, but I’ll just like to get a general sense of preferred day and location.
Tentatively, the class should take place either on Tuesday or Saturday, in the evening.
Judging from the comments made on the last post, interested parties are coming from all parts of the island, with a higher number hailing from the central, east and north-east areas. Taking that into consideration, I thought having the class at Ang Mo Kio will be a relatively good choice.
Do let me know what you think, and more importantly, if you are still interested to join if the class is held on Tuesday/Saturday at Ang Mo Kio CC

Such a coincidence, I was just planning to sign up for a dressmaking class. Definitely interested if the price is comparable to the CCs. Amk is the perfect location..haha:) Do we need to have a sewing machine though?

I’m very interested in the dressmaking course! Do you know if the elementary course will include downright basic sewing techniques or will it plough straight into patterns? I can barely sew.
Location-wise, somewhere central is definitely preferred, but majority vote lah. Sat evening is okay. Thanks for initiating this!

hi i m really interested in taking up dressmaking classes. could you please send me an email with the finalize details of the classes and the course fees.. i have been waiting for such opportunity to come up and i would not want to miss it . for the date of the lessons the weekends should be it!! Saturday evening would be a nice timing. looking forward to the lesson and oh yah does it includes basic sewing techniques?

hmm i’m not sure about the amk instructor. i’ve attended her class before but didn’t find her that good. she usually paid more attention to those who can already sew and also i find the ’styles’ she teach were quite out fashioned. not the vintage kind of out fashion if you get what i mean.
