Corinne Brun: Cocopit

When I first laid eyes on the works of Paris-born, London-based illustrator Corinne Brun, I thought that they look strangely familiar. Going on to read up about her, it is hardly surprising that I’d seen her illustrations before because she’d contributed to the likes of NYLON and Vogue.

Her illustrations of the runway looks render the [...]

NDEUR: Graphic Designs + Leather Shoes

Customizing limited edition sneakers with graphic designs is nothing new. Often in collaboration with cult names in the graphic art scene, sports brands (most notably Adidas) have churned out highly covetable collectibles and many have clamored to own them. The addition of unique designs and patterns have revolutionized the humble sneakers.
I’d always thought that sneakers [...]

Love Can Be Flexible

I first got to know about FlexibleLove while channel surfing - I’d since forgotten which channel I saw it on But the impression of the product stayed with me because the entire concept is so ingenious. It completely changed the idea of the ‘folding chair’.

This is how it works:
FlexibleLove is a kind of experimental [...]

Crazy, But Not So Crazy

When the Face Hunter decided to skip New York Fashion Week (not a bad choice, considering this season was rather lackluster) and stay on up north in Scandinavia, we knew that the photos will be pretty fantastic.
And we aren’t disappointed!
Among all the wonderful photos, this one stood out, for its seeming absurdity. Yet, [...]

Mads Nørgaard A/W08: The Copenhagen Experience

Just watch this:

The Copenhagen Experience is a fashion film trilogy of Mads Nørgaard - Copenhagen collections. It is now in its second episode. It features the beautiful Freja Beha and ridiculously lovely-looking Eddie Merz, with the former combing the city and finally finding the latter.
The film is a revolutionary way of showcasing a fashion [...]

The Making: Gucci Loves NY

The Gucci Loves NY event marking the opening of the brand’s new flagstore on 5th Avenue, the biggest in the world, has been much talked about on the blogosphere, because this time bloggers have been invited!
The excited gushings on the blogs of Ms Spinach and Susie Bubble are great fun to read, although they do [...]

“Hie-diddle-ho-diddle, derry-derry down!”*

From the previous post on fashion bloggers and great events, I’d like to point out that the Fashion Nation team is just happy to go to all events we have been invited to like a teenage student at her first prefect investiture, dressed up in our most presentable frocks, then head back and scribble away [...]

Making Our Own Threads

When I came across Elizabeth Yarborough’s collection of accessories, I was completely sold on the crazy bright colours and unlikely material (spools of thread!). They just look so happy, and they’re perfect for those black ensembles that I seem to be wearing a lot recently
Love at first sight!

And the best thing [...]

Knit Work

I love knitwear - they are comfortable (when of cotton mix), easy to wear (no need for irons!) and when wore right, you can look sophisticated and put together with minimum effort.
As proclaimed over and over again, I adore the Scandinavian aesthetics. It is minimalistic yet far from boring. And the cut is usually immaculate.
Anna [...]

Insatiable Appetite for Fashion Photography

For all those who share my fixation with fashion photography, you’ll welcome deviantArt to your must-click list
DeviantArt is an indie, online art community where artists of all kinds (photographers, graphic artists, cartoonists etc) can submit their works and expose them to a greater audience via the Internet.
I’d came across this site a few [...]
